Sustainability
We perceive sustainability as a continuous road that challenges, orients and inspires our practices, decision-making and the managing of our businesses. Sustainability is more than a principle. As a foundation of our business, it is present in every stage of our value and relationship chain with our commercial partners.
Cargill tries harder every day to align its supply chain with its mission, politics and procedures. Besides, we are convinced that sustainable development enables the growth of every party involved in the process.
Suppliers of products and services must ensure they meet the legal requirements applicable and pursuit the implementation of social and environmental practices in their processes, products and supply chain. Thus collaborating with the responsible development of our activities, products and services, with the goal of leaving a positive impact in the communities where we operate.
Transparency and justice are inalienable values to our relationship with the market. We do not accept any kind of practices, situations or attitudes considered inappropriate, unjust, immoral and/or illegal, that may compromise our operations. We recommend our suppliers to implement formal actions, procedures and politics -widely communicated amongst their groups of interest- that restrict the participation of their collaborators and representatives in illicit acts, as stated in our Code of Conduct for Suppliers. In addition to promoting a positive impact in the communities where they operate.
